HOW WE WORK MATTERS.
The work only means something if people can trust how it was done. Four values shape what we take on, what we recommend and how we show up.
- 01
CIVILITY
WE DON'T NEED TO WIN AT SOMEONE ELSE'S EXPENSE.
We believe relationships have value beyond business. We try to solve problems before assigning blame, stay constructive when things become difficult, and leave people with a reason to speak to us again.
- We treat people with respect, including when we disagree.
- We try to solve problems before looking for someone to blame.
- We do not use pressure, hostility or ambiguity to get our way.
- We would rather lose an opportunity than damage a relationship for short-term gain.
- 02
RESPECT
WE RECOMMEND WHAT FITS — NOT WHAT SELLS.
Respect means taking someone's actual situation seriously. Sometimes that means recommending something different from what they expected. Sometimes it means saying we are not the right people to solve the problem.
A commercial opportunity is never a reason to stop treating someone well.
- We start with the real need.
- We say when something is not the right fit.
- We do not exploit information asymmetry.
- We give people the information they need to make their own decision.
- 03
CURIOSITY
WE QUESTION THE ANSWER — INCLUDING OUR OWN.
We do not assume that something is right because it has always been done that way. We ask why, look for what has been missed and challenge assumptions — including our own.
We are comfortable saying:
- “I don't know.”
- “I might be wrong.”
- “Let's check.”
- We question established ways of doing things.
- We actively look for evidence that could prove us wrong.
- We admit mistakes and change course when necessary.
- We stay open to ideas that challenge our assumptions.
- 04
AUDACITY
WE ARE WILLING TO QUESTION WHAT OTHERS TAKE FOR GRANTED.
We are sceptical of entrenched ways of doing things and of the idea that authority automatically makes something right.
We are willing to ask uncomfortable questions, challenge the status quo and test a different path when we believe there is a better one.
Audacity does not mean believing we are always right. It means being willing to act on what we believe after we have questioned it seriously.
- We challenge assumptions and established practices.
- We ask questions others may avoid.
- We give unconventional ideas a fair hearing.
- We are willing to act when the evidence supports a different path.
HOW WE PUT IT
INTO PRACTICE.
Our values are not just principles. They shape how we make decisions, handle disagreement, choose partners and approach the work itself.
WIN-WIN
OR NO-DEAL.
Both sides should be able to look at the outcome and believe it was fair.
NO ARTIFICIAL URGENCY.
We give people time to decide.
NO HIDDEN LIMITATIONS.
We say what we know — and what we don't.
NO ONE-SIDED DEALS.
If one side has to lose for the deal to work, we don't want it.
NO INFORMATION GAMES.
We don't use what someone doesn't know against them.
LONG-TERM > SHORT-TERM.
A deal is not worth damaging a relationship.
DOING GOOD
IS PART OF THE JOB.
We want ALL IN SOLAR to be a force for good — in the work we do, the businesses we build and the way we treat the people around us.
For us, doing good means creating value without exploiting people, being honest when honesty costs us, treating people well when there is nothing immediate to gain, and building things we genuinely believe should exist.
